Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth within the transport and logistics sector by identifying and acquiring new business opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. The ideal candidate will have solid knowledge in logistics, transportation, and warehousing, capable of managing operational processes and acting as a Key Account Manager during the initial phase of project implementation.- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the transport and logistics industry.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to secure profitable business deals.
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure smooth delivery of services to clients.
- Act as Key Account Manager until the implementation of new clients is completed
- Participate in tenders and manage the bidding process
- Spend 25% of working time traveling to meet potential clients and sign new contracts.
- Provide regular reports on sales activities, pipeline, and forecasts.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in sales within the transport and logistics industry.- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Solid knowledge of logistics, transportation, and warehousing
- Availability for frequent travel (1 week in the field, 3 weeks in the office)
- Excellent people management skills
- Experience in managing sales tenders
- Ability to develop and maintain long-term client relationships
